For this entry, I want to post about 1Malaysia
as my lecturer asked us to do
What I know, 1Malaysia is a political programme designed by Malaysian Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak on September 16, 2008
1Malaysia is a concept to foster unity amongst the multi-ethnic of Malaysia
The picture above is 1Malaysia logo
Beside the logo, 1Malaysia also have slogan
The slogan are changed every year
During 2009, the slogan that had used is
'People First, Performance Now'
and for the next year which means 2010, the slogan
'Generating Transformation' are used
There have several activities are provided in order to make sure 1Malaysia programme are functional properly
They are 'National Campaign', '1Malaysia Foundation' and '1Malaysia Clinics'
For National Campaign;
RTM and private television channels have incorporated ideas from 1Malaysia into numerous TV programs. The use of multi-lingual hosts and actors from different ethnics is one of the methods uses to promote national unity.
For 1Malaysia Foundation;
The 1Malaysia Foundation was established in 2009 to promote and develop the idea of 1Malaysia. The foundation works to coordinate and supplement government and private-sector activities related to 1Malaysia.
For 1Malaysia Clinics;
Prime Minister Najib's Budget 2010 includes funding for 50 medical clinics to provide basic medical services for illnesses and injuries. Malaysia citizens are charged only RM1 for treatment and medication but non-citizens are charged RM15.
So for me, this progrmme are acceptable and good because
in the easy word, 1Malaysia is a way to tighten the relationship between people in Malaysia ღ
